Better data. Better decisions. Stronger school culture.
Transforming Schools Through Data-Informed Practice
Whole-school change that sticks, because it starts with what's really happening in your classrooms.
You've run the PD days. The posters are up. So why does it still feel different in every classroom? Lasting culture change doesn't come from one more workshop. It comes from seeing your school clearly, agreeing on what matters and following through. That's what the 4D whole-school approach is built to do, drawing on 30,000+ observations.
Clarity: a Whole School Scan with a live online database, so you can see patterns across year levels and faculties.
Consistency: staff training and coaching cycles that build a shared language across your whole team.
Calm: positive behaviour for learning practices that reduce disruption and grow engagement.
Follow-through: regular data meetings and pulse checks, so progress is measured, not assumed.
Whole School Scan
See your whole school clearly.
A clear, honest picture of teaching and learning in every classroom, and a shared language your staff can build on.
You can't build a positive school culture on guesswork. The Whole School Scan shows you what's really happening in your classrooms, and it gives every teacher the chance to see it too.
1. Observe: Each teacher has a one-to-one, 30-minute classroom observation. We're looking at one thing: the impact of the teaching on the learning environment.
2. Reflect: Each teacher then sits down with us for a 20-minute reflection session to talk through the data from their own classroom. This is where awareness grows, and where your staff start building a shared language around a culture of learning.
3. See the big picture: All data are imported into our live online database and turned into a set of de-identified school-based reports. No individual teacher can be identified. Your leadership team gets a clear picture of the impact of teaching and learning across the whole school and its classroom environments.
Safe for teachers. Useful for leaders.
Every teacher gets their own one-to-one observation, in their own classroom.
Teachers talk through their own classroom data in a personal reflection session.
Reports are school-wide, and no individual teacher can be identified.
Leaders get the whole-school view they need to plan with confidence.
Data Meetings (Planning)
Now that you have the data, on how your school is working, let us help you understand that data so that you can create a plan to move forward.
In the Whole School Plan we connect leadership teams with one of our data consultants. There are options for connecting with our Data Consultants for a detailed Data Presentation to use with staff and follow up meetings to set Pulse Checks.
Participants will leave this workshop with:
Understand our data sets (they look complex but there is an ease to following them)
Make sense of how this can be used to inform your school’s strategic direction
Be integral in a review cycle based on the recommendations discussed in the meeting.
Coaching Cycles
Our Education Consultants come into your school, and work side by side with Level I or Level II accredited observers to improve their skills in observations and reflection sessions.
We do a 30-minute 1: 2 observation, a reflection session where we provide feedback to the observer (who we are observing!), and then a 30-minute feedback session on their data collection and coaching skills.
Participants will leave this workshop with:
How to be a more effective classroom observer and coach
Builds capacity within the schools for coaching cycles
